In Case You Are Wondering
How is counseling different from coaching?
In counseling, there is a tendency to look back over your life to discover why things are the way they are. Coaching looks at the present and future. It’s about moving forward, not looking back. I don’t need to know anything about your history to effectively coach you.
What is a life coach?
Simply put, someone who helps you focus on getting out of life what is most important to you, even if you aren’t sure what that is yet. You will walk away with tools to help you continue clarifying and maintaining that focus long after your final coaching session.
Do you do group or couples coaching?
I am open to custom tailoring some group or couples coaching depending on what you are looking for. Please contact me by phone or email and we will see what we can work out.
Do you coach by phone or video conferencing?
Yes, all my coaching services are offered by phone, FaceTime or via Zoom online classrooms.
How do I set up my free consultation?
Simply click the link to my online calendar and I will call you on the day and time that you have selected. https://calendly.com/brenda-niemeyer
What can I expect during my free consultation?
That is your time to ask questions and get a sample of what coaching is all about. I would be glad to work through an initial coaching tool with you as an introduction to coaching and to see if my coaching style is a good fit for you. There are many life coaches – it is essential that you find one that is a great fit for you and the things you want to accomplish so you can make the most of your experience. Free consultation sessions are usually 20-30 minutes in length.
I’m a social worker. Should I consider using the Academic Life Coaching program as a new approach or complementary addition to Independent Living Skills for teens?
Definitely!! Current Independent Living Skills training tends to have an emphasis on external skills teens need to master. The Academic Life Coaching program focuses on an internal skill set that will enable teens to take ownership of their decisions and choices for their future. Throughout the program youth will build internal structures to move toward various educational goals, career aspirations, relational desires, and they will also begin to develop a vision for giving back to their communities.
More Stuff You Will Want To Know
Do you offer scholarships?
Yes, I have a limited number of partial scholarships I am able to offer each month for those seeking coaching. If you are interested in being considered for one, please email me at brenda@waypointcoachinginc.com and I will send you a short application to submit.
The coach training course I offer is normally $2700, but as a youth advocate you are eligible for the special price of $2100. I do not offer additional scholarships for this program, but you are welcome to spread payments out over 6, 9, or 12 months.
Are you able to train groups of youth advocates utilizing personal development/CE budgets?
Yes, if your organization is interested in coach training and you are trying to make it work within your CE budget, please contact me and we will see what we can work out.
Do you accept non-monetary payment for coaching services?
The International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics, which I adhere to, allows for “barter for services, goods or other non-monetary remuneration when it will not impair the coaching relationship.” On a limited and case by case basis, if appropriate and beneficial to everyone involved, I will consider non-monetary payment for coaching services with the exception of the Youth Advocate Coach Training, which I offer in partnership with Coach Training EDU.
Can I provide scholarships for others?
Absolutely! Life coaching is a wonderful gift as the tools given truly last a lifetime. If you would like to provide a scholarship you can do so by cash, check or credit card. Please call me at 406-270-8317 or email me at brenda@wayointlifecoaching.org for more specific information.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
If you choose to hire me and then decide you don’t want to continue with coaching, I offer a pro-rated refund on sessions paid for in advance that are not completed.
For those in the Youth Advocate Coach Training program, you have 2 class sessions (4 hours of live training) in which you can receive a refund minus your $75 non-refundable deposit if you find the course isn’t a good fit for you. After the 2 class sessions you will owe the entire tuition regardless of class participation or completion – I anticipate you are going to love the training and won’t want to miss a single class!!
I am happy to accommodate schedule changes for individual coaching sessions as needed with 24 hours advance notice. If you miss a session without communicating in advance a need to reschedule, you are responsible for all fees associated with it.
